Hockley Woods Walk

Love having mum home on holidays, means we go for exciting walks.
We went to Hockley woods today.... mum said it would be quiet as it was raining.

The whole woods knew we arrived with our wooing

It was drizzling with rain but once we were in the woods it was fine
I took the young one.... have nearly trained him to walk at heal

Mum had Chester who insisted pulling her to every tree....
He says " It's a boy thing"

In the woods it was quite dark in places,
but it didn't stop me find a large watery mud hole to jump in

Mum was not impressed with getting her DM's muddy

Think she is silly I LOVE MUDDY FEET!

There were open areas where we realised it was still raining

And this field looked so good to run in,
mum said we had to walk around the edge,
spoil sport!!

was a good walk, we waited quietly for a horse to pass,
mum was pleased at how good we were

Chester played land sharks in the bark

I sat in the back of the car like a good girl

Chester had to be reminded to stay

We had a good time.....

Wakering Stairs Walk

While it wasn't raining mum took us out with the young one

We went to somewhere called the Wakering Stairs....

It was very peaceful, we walked along the little bit of the beach
then headed to the footpath

The young one had me.... Chester was being very boisterous

Then mum put her foot on a rabbit hole and twisted her ankle again.
Mum took me and the young one took Chester as he was still pulling.
I didnt pull mum as she was limping again!

I walked just far enough ahead but without pulling.

The views were stunning...... lots of birds we were not allowed to chase

Chester was being silly, playing land sharks

He flattened all the grass

People might think that something strange was making crop circles
But we know it wasn't hehe!!

We settled into the walk

Mum says we might go back again when it is a little dryer

Hadleigh Castle Walk

Yeah mid week walk with mum, she had no work tonight, so we all got in the car and drove to Hadleigh Country Park.

We both thought we would be going the same way as last time, so headed off the entrance gate, to be told "No this way"

Mum had Chester, I had the young one, who took the camera

Lots of wonderful smells

We found a path from the country park to the castle....

Mum had her stupid hat on.... must encourage Chester to chew them.... he's good with chewing shoes!

The views are stunning!

We walked around the back of a few stones.... This is apparently the castle

Mum got in a right muddle with all the leads.... we weren't helping her either

We were soon sniffing our way through the field

There was definitely a scent of something....

We found out what it was............. mum calls them cattle....  I think they would be good to go and see...
mum says NO!

So Chester found something they left behind to roll in..... mum wasn't impressed

Chester sat and watched the train go by!

And I found some goats to play with.... Mum said NO again!

When we got home we had frozen ice blocks with sardines in...... they were really yummy and just what we needed after a warm walk
